From Allentown, PA - Take Rt. 22 West to Route 100 South. Take the Boyertown Exit off Rt. 100 South and make a right onto Rt. 73 West at the end of the exit ramp. Make a right at the first light onto Madison Street. Make a left onto 4th street. Make a right onto Monroe Street and the stadium is ahead on your left next to Boyertown High School.

From East-West Turnpike - Take Exit 23 of the PA Turnpike and make a right onto Route 100 North. Take Rt. 100 north for approximately 15 miles and take the Boyertown/Gilbertsville Exit off Rt. 100 North. Make a left onto Rt. 73 West at the end of the exit ramp. Make a right at the first light onto Madison Street. Make a left onto 4th street. Make a right onto Monroe Street and the stadium is ahead on your left next to Boyertown High School.

From King of Prussia - Take Route 422 West to Route 100 North. Take the Boyertown/Gilbertsville Exit off Rt. 100 North. Make a left onto Rt. 73 West at the end of the exit ramp. Make a right at the first light onto Madison Street. Make a left onto 4th street. Make a right onto Monroe Street and the stadium is ahead on your left next to Boyertown High School.

From Philadelphia - Take Route 76 West (Schuylkill Expressway) to Route 202 South. From Rt. 202 South, take Route 422 West to Route 100 North. Take the Boyertown/Gilbertsville Exit off Rt. 100 North. Make a left onto Rt. 73 West at the end of the exit ramp. Make a right at the first light onto Madison Street. Make a left onto 4th street. Make a right onto Monroe Street and the stadium is ahead on your left next to Boyertown High School.

From Reading - Take Rt. 422 East to Route 100 North. Take the Boyertown/Gilbertsville Exit off Rt. 100 North. Make a left onto Rt. 73 West at the end of the exit ramp. From Wilmington and Points South - Take Rt. 95 North to Rt. 202 North to Rt. 100 North. Take Rt. 100 North for about 20 miles. Take the Boyertown/Gilbertsville Exit off Rt. 100 North. Make a left onto Rt. 73 West at the end of the exit ramp. Make a right at the first light onto Madison Street. Make a left onto 4th street. Make a right onto Monroe Street and the stadium is ahead on your left next to Boyertown High School.

From New York City or North New Jersey - From the NJ Turnpike, take Rt. 78 West. Take Rt. 78 into Pennsylvania. Take the Lehigh Street exit off Rt. 78 West. Make a left onto Lehigh Street off the exit ramp. Follow Lehigh Street, which turns into Emmaus Ave after about three miles. Take Emmaus Ave thru town of Emmaus. Emmaus Ave. eventually turns into Rt. 100 South. Follow Rt. 100 South for about 30 minutes and take the Boyertown Exit off Rt. 100 South and make a right onto Rt. 73 West at the end of the exit ramp. Make a right at the first light onto Madison Street. Make a left onto 4th street. Make a right onto Monroe Street and the stadium is ahead on your left next to Boyertown High School.

 

Athletes of the Week
Baseball
Batted .667 (10-15) with three doubles, one triple, and three RBIs in a 2 win, 2 lose week for the Crusaders. Also scored 9 runs and was perfect in stolen base attempts. (3-3)
Softball
Batted .600 (7-12) in two conference matchups for the Crusaders this week. Two doubles, one triple, and two homeruns contributed to four RBIs for Sorrentino, also plated 6 runs scored.

Spartansburg, S.C. (Aug. 6, 2008) - Alvernia College senior James Geosits (Wyomissing, Pa./Wilson) represented his summer league team, the Carolina Chaos, in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game in mid July. He also participated in the All-Star Game Home Run Derby.

Reading, Pa. (June 19, 2008) - Alvernia College had 60 of the 462 student-athletes honored on the All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Academic Team. The baseball program has the most members with 14 and softball wasn't far behind with 11 members.

Reading, Pa. (June 18, 2008) - Former Alvernia College catcher Anthony Recker continues to impress at every level. The two-time Pennsylvania Athletic Conference player of the year will make his third straight All-Star appearance this summer representing the Midland Rockhounds in the 2008 Texas League All-Star game next Wednesday in Springfield, Missouri.

Wednesday June 18, 2008 (Reading, PA) - Freshman pitcher Chuck Nicholas (Boyertown, PA/Boyertown) was named the ECAC South Rookie of the Year and was named to the Second Team, senior catcher Dale Curry (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) added to his accolades with a spot on the ECAC South First Team as announced by the conference on Wednesday morning.
