Wyomissing, Pa. (Nov. 17, 2008) - When the Alvernia Ice Hockey Team took on Dickinson College on Sunday, 20 children from the South Reading Youth Initiative came to cheer them on. The kids were excited throughout the entire game, absorbing the atmosphere of the rink and cheering for the Crusaders who defeated the Red Devils, 7-3.

Reading, Pa. (Nov. 11, 2008) - Throughout the month of October, the Alvernia University Baseball Team spent most Wednesday afternoons in the city of Reading working with boys and girls from Lauer's Park Elementary School. Approximately 15 members of the AU baseball team traveled to Lauer's Park on Wednesdays to work with 27 boys and girls ranging in age from 3rd through 5th grade.

Reading, PA (Sept. 30, 2009) - Beginning on September 30th all home Men's and Women's Soccer games will be played at Sovereign Bank Sports Park due to on-campus construction. Sovereign Bank Sports Park has previously served Alvernia as a soccer and lacrosse practice facility, and with a new playing surface on Plateau Three it provides an excellent venue for our soccer teams to excel.
