Reading, Pa. (Jan. 25, 2010) - Three Crusaders were named to the 2010 NCAA Division III Players to Watch list as chosen by Division III baseball coaches. Seniors Steve Bealer, Steve DeBarberie and Shane Zellers were named to the list that was released by Collegiate Baseball in their Jan. 8, 2010 issue.

Reading, Pa. (Nov. 17, 2009) - The Crusader Baseball team has been back in action at Lauer's Park Elementary School teaching the youth of the Reading community the fundamentals of baseball. This is the second year that the team has participated in this month-long community service event at the school. Crusader players and coaches took time every Tuesday during October to play wiffle-ball and teach baseball techniques to twenty children ranging from third to fifth grade.

Reading, Pa. (June 8, 2009) - 18 Crusader student-athletes were named to the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Spring Academic Honor Roll as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. This Honor Roll comprises student-athletes of sophomore class standing or higher who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale and completed the playing season in good standing.

Reading, Pa. (June 8, 2009) - Junior pitcher Shane Zellers (Wisconisco, Pa./Williams Valley) was recently named to the 2009 Division III South Baseball East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) First Team. This honor comes after Zellers was named the Freedom Conference Pitcher of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Freedom First Team.

After graduating six seniors last year - which included a leadoff hitter and two power hitters who were starters, two pitchers and their top closer- the 2009 Crusaders baseball team needed to fill a ton of spots and quickly. This meant that younger players needed to step up and get the job done - and that they did.

(May 15, 2009) - The fifth-seeded College of New Jersey got a big two-out, two-run single in the first and carried the momentum for an 8-2 win over #7 Alvernia University (27-17) Friday morning in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Baseball Regional at FirstEnergy Stadium. The Crusaders are eliminated with the loss and TCNJ advances in the losers bracket to face #6 Elizabethtown, a 9-2 winner over #8 Penn State-Berks.
