April 27, 2010 (Reading, Pa) - Alvernia's Golf team met at the Pagoda, a popular landmark in Reading that overlooks the city and is lit up beautifully at night. The team was not just there to look at the scenery; however, they were there to meet up with the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Berks County. This would be the second annual Big Brother, Big Sister and Alvernia Golf Team outing.

Downes Leads Team Black To Par 3 Victory Sinking Spring, Pa. (April 29, 2010) - Freshman Scott Downes (Sinking Spring, Pa./High Point Baptist) used a unique home course advantage to shoot 63 and lead Team Black to a 187 team total and a five-stroke victory in the Alvernia University men's golf intrasquad par 3 challenge hosted by Village Greens Golf Course.
