Reading, Pa. (August 25, 2010) - The Crusader Volleyball squad was selected to finish eighth out of eight teams in the Commonwealth Conference this season as voted on by head coaches. Lebanon Valley, defending conference champions are the favorites to take the title.

(May 1, 2010) Reading, Pa - Alvernia University hosted the first annual Reading Wounded Warrior 5k Race/Walk to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, a national organization supporting wounded veterans. The race is hosted around the nation to honor and support the daily sacrifices made by the brave men and women in all branches of the United States Military. The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded warriors by raising awareness and enlisting the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.

Reading, Pa. (January 26, 2010) - The 2009 season was one of adjustment into the Commonwealth Conference for the Crusader Volleyball squad. They opened their season with a 1-3 loss at home to Keystone College and then travelled to the Greyhound Invitational at Moravian where they were unable to secure a victory. From there it was more of the same as they finished their season 0-24.

(Oct. 28, 2009) - Alvernia University (0-24, 0-7) sophomore Alyssa Soltis (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) reached double digits kills for the third time this season with a team-high 10 in a 3-0 loss to Albright College (15-14, 2-7) Wednesday evening in Commonwealth Conference women's volleyball action at Albright.
