Rosolie Earns All-Region Recognition
Senior Forward Is Second Crusader To Be Honored

Reading, Pa. (Mar. 19, 2008) – Alvernia College senior Jill Rosolie (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) was named to the D3hoops.com Women’s Basketball Mid-Atlantic All-Region Third Team Wednesday. Rosolie is the second women’s player at Alvernia to earn All-Region recognition.

Rosolie was named to the All-Conference second team in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference along with freshman Kelli McIntyre (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain). Rosolie finished the season second on the team in scoring at 11.9 points per game and third in rebounding at 4.6 boards per game. She scored double figures in 13 of the last 16 games of the season and totaled a season-high 14 rebounds in a game against Messiah.

Tanisha Giddens was the first women’s player to be named D3hoops.com All-Region team when she earned second team honors in 2002.

Baseball
Batted .667 (10-15) with three doubles, one triple, and three RBIs in a 2 win, 2 lose week for the Crusaders. Also scored 9 runs and was perfect in stolen base attempts. (3-3)
Softball
Batted .600 (7-12) in two conference matchups for the Crusaders this week. Two doubles, one triple, and two homeruns contributed to four RBIs for Sorrentino, also plated 6 runs scored.
