Annville, Pa. (Apr. 14, 2008) – Alvernia College Men’s Tennis lost a non-conference match, 9-0 at Lebanon Valley Monday afternoon.

The Dutchmen earned a pair of 8-3 victories at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles and won all six singles matches in straight sets. Alvernia will regroup for the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Team Championship this weekend hosted by Marywood University.

Baseball
Batted .667 (10-15) with three doubles, one triple, and three RBIs in a 2 win, 2 lose week for the Crusaders. Also scored 9 runs and was perfect in stolen base attempts. (3-3)
Softball
Batted .600 (7-12) in two conference matchups for the Crusaders this week. Two doubles, one triple, and two homeruns contributed to four RBIs for Sorrentino, also plated 6 runs scored.

Friday April 4, 2008 (Reading, PA) - All home and away Alvernia contests scheduled for today have been cancelled due to inclement weather. The home baseball game against Neumann will now be played tomorrow at 2:00 pm. The baseball team will then travel to Neumann Sunday April 6th for a 12:00 noon start. The Men's Tennis match at King's will now be played Wednesday April 23rd at 4:00 p.m. Additionally, the Men's Tennis start time for tomorrow's home match against Cabrini has been delayed to a 3:00 pm start time. The Golf match scheduled to be played today at Moravian has not yet been rescheduled.
