Reading, Pa. (May 21, 2010) - Junior third basemen Rhiannon Sorrentino (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) capped off her outstanding season by being named to the 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-American Second Team. Sorrentino is Alvernia Softball's first ever All-American.

(June 9, 2010) - Alvernia junior Rhiannon Sorrentino (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) has added to her 2010 honors as she was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region Division III First Team as announced by the ECAC in late May. Sorrentino earns this honor after being named Commonwealth Player of the Year and NFCA Second Team All-American.

(May 13, 2010) - Junior third basemen Rhiannon Sorrentino (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) was named to the 2010 Division III NFCA/Louisville Slugger All-Region First Team as announced by the NFCA on Thursday afternoon. Sorrentino is now up for selection onto the NFCA All-American Team which will be voted on by committee May 17th.

(May 10, 2010) - Junior third basemen Rhiannon Sorrentino (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) was named the Commonwealth Softball Player of the Year as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Sorrentino is the first player in program history to earn a conference player of the year honor and was joined on the All-Commonwealth First Team by senior outfielder Janelle Lynch (Macungie, Pa./Brandywine).
